Kiyoshi (Interwhao's Staff)
share house in Japan, Tokyo. [interwhao] > Happiness Report > party / event > 【Event Report】BBQ Party with FirstHouse Mizonokuchi A&B!

Hi everyone!
This is Kiyoshi from Interwhao!
August flew by in a flash, and the hot and humid summer days are finally starting to wind down. How has everyone been?
This time, we held one of the most classic summer events ever — a BBQ party!
We brought together housemates from First House Mizonokuchi A and B, and around 35 people joined us!
We’re always so happy to see so many people joining our events. Thank you, everyone!!
When you’re having a BBQ for a big group, there’s really only one choice:
COSTCO!
And this time, we had one very important rule:
NO STOPPING AT THE FREE SAMPLE STATIONS!
One of our residents, whose nickname is “Mario,” was pushing the shopping cart when he spotted a Mario Kart toy and immediately started asking for it…
Look at that huge smile!
But I had to be strong and say no!
Once we got back home, it was time to prep all the food.
Our housemates are getting pretty good at handling all that meat!
As more and more people started arriving, it was time for…
CHEERS!
And just like that, the party was officially underway!
Unfortunately, the rain that was supposed to stop just kept going until the middle of the event.
So, while everyone else enjoyed themselves indoors, our BBQ crew stayed outside and kept grilling!
Rain or shine, the meat must go on!
We did our best…
Meanwhile, things were getting pretty lively indoors!
Since this was a joint event between two different houses, it was a great chance for everyone to meet new people.
We could hear nonstop laughter and conversations coming from inside.
And of course, hearing so many different languages being spoken was one of those moments that really reminded us:
Yep, this is definitely an Interwhao event!
Even while standing outside grilling in the rain, we could feel how international the atmosphere was.
One of our residents may have gotten a little too excited about the drinks…
And ended up completely knocked out!
Everyone gathered around to check if they were okay.
Remember, everyone — drink responsibly!
Just when everyone was getting full from all the delicious BBQ, we had one more surprise!
Several of our housemates had birthdays.
So we thought:
“Why not celebrate together?”
And that’s exactly what we did!
We prepared a little surprise birthday celebration for them, complete with presents.
They looked pretty happy with their gifts!
All in all, it was another fantastic Interwhao event!
Since it had been a while since we’d held a joint event between two houses, we weren’t quite sure how it would go.
But our worries disappeared pretty quickly.
Everyone seemed to hit it off, and before long, people from both houses were chatting, laughing, eating, and having a great time together.
We hope this BBQ helped create new friendships and strengthen the connections between our housemates.
That’s one of the things we love most about living in a share house — you never know who you’re going to meet or what new connections you’ll make.
And of course…
This won’t be our last event!
We’re already looking forward to the next one, so stay tuned!
The BBQ was held at First House Mizonokuchi B, one of our international share houses in Mizonokuchi.
The house is around a 13-minute walk from Tokyu Mizonokuchi Station and JR Musashi-Mizonokuchi Station.
Getting around is also super convenient!
You can reach Shibuya in around 15 minutes by the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line, and Musashi-Kosugi is only about 8 minutes away by the JR Nambu Line, making it easy to connect to other parts of Tokyo and Kanagawa.
But the best part?
More than half of the residents are from overseas!
You’ll often hear English being spoken around the house, and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to meet people from different countries and experience different cultures in your everyday life.
If you’re looking for a share house where you can:
・ Meet people from around the world
・ Practice English and other languages
・ Make new friends
・ Enjoy an international community
・ Join fun events and activities
…then an Interwhao share house might be exactly what you’re looking for!
