As we approach the end of the year and the cold weather really starts to set in, we hope you are all staying healthy.

This time, we’d like to share an event that is truly synonymous with December—one that we also held at our Nishi-Ogikubo share house! ☆彡

With Christmas just around the corner and some international students temporarily returning to their home countries, we hosted a small Christmas dinner party with the international students who stayed in Japan.

At Nishi-Ogikubo, we usually have a monthly international dinner where residents bring food and connect through sharing meals. This time, it became a great opportunity for everyone to enjoy takoyaki, one of Japan’s beloved soul foods!

Most of the residents had never made or even tried takoyaki before, so everyone showed great interest and enthusiastically joined in making them (^^

One of our staff members, who is great at cooking, prepared a creamy chicken stew, and to make it feel more like a party, we also ordered sushi for delivery. Because the group was small, we were able to have deeper conversations with each resident—an experience that truly reflects the unique charm of share house living, something you can’t enjoy on your own (#^.^#)
