Break the heat! Handmade Soba party with Suikawari in First house Minami Urawa
Hello, this is house manager Kato, who needs icecream to survive the Summer…
This time, Many tenants wanted to cool down from this crazy heat, so we held a handmade-Soba party!
We started from getting ingredients and ended up making Soba, handmade Sushi & watermelon!
First, we cut the fish to a proper size, almost ready for assembly!
Next, let’s make some Soba!
These lovely Polish tenants helped me out for the entire process!
1.Put some water into Soba-flour, grind the mixture, and form a round shape.
2. UCHIKO, adding powder to the Soba-flour to make it thinner and thinner in preparation for the next phase. (Definetely the most sensitive work in the world.)
3. Adjust for proper thickness, concentration ACTIVATE!!
4. Boil, then blanch with cold water.
5. Let’s dig in! cheers!!
This is the best food to cool down, who made some roughly-cut-needle? Doesn’t matter!
You know what they say, no matter how expesive, nothing beats handmade.
Making food with other people makes it even more delicious.
Now introducing the 2nd main dish; handmade Sushi!
Everyone loved it making their original Sushi, choosing from various ingredients such as shrimp, salmon, tuna, cucumber, natto, etc.
And then it’s time for Suikawari!
The challengers are the tenants of course.
After putting on eyemask, rotate 360° with a wooden bar 10 times first.
Try to find where the watermelon is… so dizzy dizzy.
Swing down the hard bar… did you aim correctly??
Well played! It took 5 people to properly split in two. We’re so glad to see these happy faces.

The first house Minami Urawa currently recruit new house members.
